Oak Grove String Band formed in 2012. Tommy Brooks & Brian Edmonson have performed together in various bands over the years, most notably Harvest. Collectively over the years Brian & Tommy honed in on their stringed techniques, lead vocals, and harmonies.  Their roots began to flourish into thorough bread bluegrass, jam, folk, and jazz. Progressively leading up to the advent of OGSB, Thomas Fitts on bass and Tim Spence on banjo were committed to make this lineup complete.

As a string quartet they practiced at least weekly and right away began performing live building a following fast. In 2014 Mark Crowder was brought into the mix for some fiddling finesse to Oak Grove String Band.

In 2015 Oak Grove String Band began showcasing their originals. Some of those originals have been captured live and may be found in our audio and video playlists. We're looking forward to bringing professionally produced EP's to our fans soon.
